1. What field(s) will my academic degree title be associated with?
Graduates from MBMU will obtain the PhD, MA or BA in Mind-Body Medicine and Holistic Psychology.
2. What additional value does my degree from MBMU will have?
a. The holistic psychology courses taught at MBMU focus more on the most fundamental and important principle of the mind-body connection and holistic healing and wellness for the whole being and
b. The combination of Mind-Body Medicine and holistic psychology is a revolutionary and creative education system enriched with much more holistically designed curriculum, including many holistic natural healing modalities and alternative and complimentary medicine (see below).
The features of MBMU's programs as described above enable our graduates to practice holistic health with much more flexibility and powerful skills as a certified complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) practitioner under corresponding legislation in the sate of California or other areas accordingly. As a CAM practitioner, they help with mental and physical issues by using natural healing modalities, including energy therapy, vibration medicine, music and sound healing, holistic psychology skills, and more. Our graduates will be able to read pulses, understand what is going on inside the body and mind, understand the client’s energy status, energy pattern and problems, and associate mental problems and physical conditions with the causes at multiple levels such as psychological, spiritual, emotional, social, family, educational, environmental, physical and genetic aspects. Our graduates will be able to use natural herbs or consult about non-drug nutrition; they will also be able to use hypnosis, NLP, meditation, Qigong, health exercise, biofeedback treatment, spiritual healing and consultation, to help improve mental and physical problems, help with personal development, improvement, growth, daily stress reduction, peak performance and efficiency improvement. These skills strengthen our graduates’ ability to help with different kinds of health problems in a way that is flexible enough to meet the diverse needs of individuals.

3. Can I enroll in the Ph.D program with a bachelors degree?
Yes. Students who have a bachelors degree can enroll in the Ph.D. program of their choice. A masters degree will be given upon completion of the academic requirements and specified credits and preparation for entrance into the Ph.D. program will commence.

4. What type of career can I expect upon completion of a PhD or MA program at MBMU?
Ph.D. graduates:
Upon completion of Ph.D. degree education program and passing the Ph.D. graduation examinations at MBMU you will become a Certified Doctoral Mind-Body Medicine Practitioner (MBMP) with a title of PhD in Mind-Body Medicine (MBMD) certified by the American Association of Mind-Body Medicine and Mind-Body Medical University for Private Practices in the fields of Mind-Body Medicine & Holistic Psychology healthcare as CAM practitioner under the legislation in the sate of California or other areas accordingly. The practice is holistic alternative and complementary healthcare instead of conventional medical practice.
M.A. graduates:
Upon completion of MA degree education program and passing the MA graduation examinations at MBMU you will become a Certified Mind-Body Medicine Practitioner (MBMP) with a title of Master in Mind-Body Medicine (MMBM) certified by the American Association of Mind-Body Medicine and Mind-Body Medical University for Private Practices in the fields of Mind-Body Medicine & Holistic Psychology healthcare. The practice is holistic alternative and complementary healthcare instead of conventional medical practice.
Differences between Ph.D. and M.A. graduates: A Ph.D. graduate is titled as doctoral practitioner, while a M.A. graduate is titled as practitioner, therapist, but not doctoral practitioner. Doctoral Mind-Body Medicine Practitioner can practice much more comprehensive skills and work at multiple levels of health issues, while master of mind-body medicine will learn and practice certain limited or specified healing modalities in the field.
The job opportunities vary widely. Besides the options of becoming a mind-body holistic health doctor, therapist, practitioner or health consultant, MBMU graduates may also become a teacher, instructor, professor, researcher, administrative staff, management professional, consultant or social works in the related fields.
B.A. graduates:
After bachelor degree graduated at MBMU, you may want to continue to an advanced degree program (graduate) in the field of Mind-Body Medicine, holistic psychology, or in any other field. Or you may want to enter into employment in the specialized areas of mind-body medicine or holistic psychology with your recently acquired knowledge and skills from MBMU.
Including but not limited to areas of holistic healthcare, a bachelor graduate from MBMU may work in a wide range of professional areas such as: businesses of CAM private practices, mind and body holistic healthcare, alternative medicine clinics, community services, company employee management, industrial consulting firms, administration, and much more.
5. Who can enroll in MBMU? Can a physician or other health practitioners (e.g., MD, ND, OMD, PhD, PsyD, or other CAM therapist) enroll?
Yes to second question. Any kind of healthcare practitioners including licensed MD, ND, PsyD, FMT, OMD, LSW, or other CAM practitioners, therapists, students, certified or uncertified practitioners with or without related degree, education or training. MBMU provides a wide range of education programs to fit different backgrounds of professionals to learn mind-body medicine with diverse purposes as professional or non-professional individual.
MBMU's courses are missing or never provided in conventional medical schools or psychology schools, but very important for any kind of healthcare practitioners to learn and balance their knowledge structure, ideas, techniques and skills in order to be a truly helpful and powerful doctor or healthcare practitioner who treats their patients or clients with care about the mind, body and spirit as whole being.
Anyone who are in the following categories can enroll in MBMU's degree programs or certificate programs:
1. Students who want to become a professionally and academically recognized holistic healthcare practitioner, therapist, consultant or associates in the field of mind-body medicine and holistic psychology.
2. Any kind of healthcare practitioners or students who want to learn mind-body medicine and holistic psychology in order to enrich their practice and knowledge.

6. Does MBMU provide advises for graduates future job searching or private practice establishment?
Yes, MBMU graduates advisers will help our graduates explore possibilities of employment or provide free consultation to help you establish private practice upon your request. Some courses at MBMU will also help you establish future private practice. Our faculty professors themselves are experienced clinicians, teaching you both the practice and the business establish and management.
7, Can I apply for work at MBMU after graduation?
Yes. MBMU's graduates have opportunities to apply for MBMU job openings. Since our graduates are educated in MBMU's program, so you will be a best match to our job nature. Of course, MBMU is also open to outside professionals in order to optimally expand our comprehensive integration of mind-body medicine and healing science. Please note that MBMU follows equality principle in human resource operation.
8. What Certificates will I receive beside the degree that I enrolled for?
If you are a doctorate degree graduate, beside your degree of PhD or MA, you will also receive the following Private Practice Certificate:
a. Doctor Practitioner (or Master Private Practitioner or MA degree graduate) of Mind-Body Medicine and Holistic Psychology from the American Association of Mind-Body Medicine (AAMBM) and MBMU. The title may different depending your degree level (see 4).
b. Additionally, you will receive other Healing Training Certificates upon completion of specialized course work within your degree program. These specialized training courses are part of your degree curriculum but are also stand-alone, independent certificate programs. Therefore, non-registered, outside professionals who wish to enroll in MBMU's certificate program will also receive the same type of certificate. These Certificates are worth over $20,000! Other schools’ graduates usually spend more than this in order to receive this type of training after graduation, but you will receive these specialized certificates during your degree program. This overlapped design for both degree and certificate program saves you a great deal of money and brings you to the level of an experienced practitioner right after graduation.

These certificates will be at either doctor level or master level depending the degree program enrolled.
For masters degree graduates, besides obtaining the masters degree, you will also receive a Certificate as a Master Practitioner of Holistic Psychology and Mind-Body Medicine co-issued by American Association of Mind-Body Medicine (AAMBM) and Mind-Body Medical University (MBMU). The certificate allows you to professionally practice Holistic Psychology and Mind-Body Medicine under supervision of a doctorate degree holder who has been trained in the field and holds the certificate of Board Certified Private Practitioner of Holistic Psychology and Mind-Body Medicine. Master graduates also have the option of receiving the corresponding Certificates as a Practitioner. This certificate also allows you to practice in the same way, under the supervision of a certified practitioner with a doctorate degree.

Yes, MBMU has set up a very nice financial AID area where students can find out about student loans and scholarship programs that may be available for our students. You can explore them at Financial AID page. The school financial AID consultant also provides you assistance upon your request.
14. Can I attend a face-to-face class in person while also attending an online class ?
Yes. At multiple locations in south California and other areas of United States we have satellites classrooms available to allow teachers and students to meet in person and have face-to-face contact in class.

15. Can I see my teacher and classmates in the online class or do I just read materials online?
Yes, you can visually see your teacher and classmates at your live or recorded online class. We use the most advanced State of The Art web video conferencing system developed by Cisco, called WebEx. Please see the Live Class Technical Support page for more details.
MBMU is dedicated to providing the highest quality virtual live class education in order to guarantee that all students not only understand and master the teaching content, but also enjoy learning the healing arts and feeling the great energy in the class. Healing requires human connection. Visual contact through our web video system is one of the most important factors in our education system. This is what makes MBMU different from other online schools, we mainly use video class. For educational purposes you may be given independent reading assignments, activities, and /or written assignments. But after that, the discussion portion of the course will be through video class.

16. How do I communicate with my teacher and classmates?
There are many convenient ways to communicate with your teachers and classmates. You can directly talk and chat in the Live Video class with your teacher and classmates. Afterwards, you can communicate through email, live chat, forum, skype, etc. When you complete the admission process, you will receive a password to login to the student page at our school domain. You will also receive your class schedule at the MBMU Course Module page. The student page has a Live Chat system that is available to provide teachers and students opportunities to chat for free 24/7.
Each student and faculty also has an MBMU school email address with POP mail server unlimited space to use.
17. Is any special equipment needed to attend the online class?
No special equipment is needed, only a reliable computer (any platform, PC, Unix, Mac, etc.) or mobile device such as a cell phone which has internet connection, and a microphone, speaker and WebCam installed. See Technical Support and System Requirement page.
18. How will I know my class schedule and where do I find instructions on how to attend a Live Class?
You will receive information to login to the MBMU Module Course page and the MBMU student page. Here you will see all your course schedules and course materials. You will also be able to set up the iGoogle calendar on your desktop that will remind you of your course time. MBMU Academic Management Office will send you an email that includes a link that will directly connect you to the Live Video Class. A single click brings you to the class!
19. Can I obtain a Private Practice Certificate to establish my Practice before graduation?
Yes, if you are a doctorate degree student at MBMU with a previous Master degree in psychology, conventional or alternative medicine or a relevant healthcare field, you will be able to establish a private practice before your doctorate graduation. As long as you have completed 3 courses from your degree program along with your certificate course. Then you can combine your previous knowledge in psychology or holistic medicine with the techniques you acquire through the MBMU certificate and/or degree programs in your practice. You will receive a Certificate specifically designated with the therapy technique co-issued by MBMU and American Association of Mind-Body Medicine (AAMBMU). With such a certificate, you will be able to establish your Private Practice that specialized techniques that you have learned. Please also see question 8. 20. Is MBMU accredited?
Since the combination program of Mind-Body Medicine and Holistic Psychology is not a conventional education system, there is no such accrediting body in the united states and there is no such corresponding accreditation to obtain at this point. MBMU takes responsibility for our education quality and is self-quality controlled and monitored by American Association of Mind-Body Medicine which is formed by our faculty professors and outside invited leading professionals in the field of mind-body medicine and holistic psychology. A MBMU graduate will be a certified Complimentary and Alternative health practitioner who can conduct private practice under the legislation in the sate of California or other areas accordingly.
21. Where can I conduct my practicum and internship training?
MBMU will provide you an opportunity to train in our university’s internal clinics for your practicum and internship practice unless you prefer to locate your own placement outside of the school.
